About

"Then I said to myself, “As is the fate of the fool, it will also befall me. Why then have I been extremely wise?” So I said to myself, “This too is vanity.”
Ecc 2:15
Could We All Be

Wrong?

Are We Meant To Be?

The Mission of Man is dedicated to discovering man’s true purpose through the hidden layers of Scripture and the world around us.

Historical and archaeological layers have been studied in depth, but on rare occasion someone finds connections so incredible we cannot set them aside. These profound findings can reinforce or even threaten central tenets of traditional theology. This is what is explored in these pages.

This journey centers on Christ’s forgiving grace and how many people cannot accept that everyone can be saved by an all powerful God. This is the mission of man unpacked. The lesson of life as we live it out under grace and mercy.

Building up to this, I asked others why mankind was created. The same answer came back, almost universally. Man’s purpose is to praise God. This is true, I’m sure, but it sounds really shallow and even makes it sounds like God is insecure. I do not believe this is even reasonable to consider. It left a desire for more of an answer, but truth does not unlock itself. It is only through prayer that we can find truth. This kind of truth only comes with a sincere interest in discovering more through humility.

I hope this project helps others find a deeper meaning and challenge me and others to understand new things previously unseen. There is more, but we need to unlock it, or just have faith in Christ to get us through this mess of life. Before we can unlock it, however, we must realize it is locked (Isaiah 29:11-12, Revelation 2:17, 10:4).

The message this website hopes to deliver is the peace of Jesus Christ through his powerful grace and love. Many people have been hurt by the Church but things God is sharing now are reconciliation instead of division.

In time I will release what has become a series of books covering the deeper spiritual meaning hidden behind the locks of the biblical texts. While there remain a great number of secrets in the Bible, the astounding connection it makes with the real-world today is immeasurably important. My calling is to share some of what God has opened my eyes to witness and testify of the faithfulness of Jesus’ true disciples. Those are the ones who have carried the cross faithfully and in silence.

About Mark

My name is Mark Walton and I am the father of two wonderful daughters and married to my beautiful, caring, and amazing wife. We live in the Houston area and attend a Methodist church.

I have been a life-long entrepreneur with a few patents, businesses, and adventures behind me. The latest is the calling God placed on my heart to reach out to those fallen by the wayside and forgotten by the Church. This calling has been a long and twisted road through church leadership, missions, seminary, and shocking realizations of things I could have never guessed are part of God’s plan and reality.

As this adventure unfolds, understanding God’s purpose for me and mankind has blossomed into more depth as you will see in the blogs and eventually the books to be published.

Mark’s view on faith

My personal faith is in Christ, not the Church. I believe God created the heavens and the earth for a specific purpose and Christ is the only way through the furnace of affliction. Many of the things the Church espouses are remnants of the encoded nature of biblical texts, which turns some things into idols in our lives. For this reason, I do not proclaim to have a monopoly of understanding the inner workings of God’s plan. Quite the contrary, I know I don’t know. God has only given me a small morsel of knowledge, but that is enough to recognize that I don’t know much at all.

As for me and my house, we will follow the Lord and I cannot wait to put down the Bible and simply praise God for the glory of His amazing son, our savior.
