Breaking the Secret Covenant Open
Could there be a secret code in the Bible? Could it be hidden by a cipher? Could that code hide the reason Jesus said the entire law can be summed up as loving God and your neighbor?
It turns out there are layers of meaning waiting to be looked into. The Cipher uncovers many of these deeply hidden truths.
The Cipher is the second book in a series dedicated to looking through the thinning veil over God’s Word. It comes after The Calling, which unpacks the context of creation as the primary context we should use to interpret teh Bible.
This book is different. It hits hard on the secret covenant or messianic secret, but it goes deep into uncharted territory. The primary purpose of this series, however, is breaking through the wall of silence created by the secret covenant from long ago. That, however, requires us to dig deep into God’s plan and how things work. That includes the cross, Christ, discipleship, and silence.
Critics
Here is what the critics are saying about The Cipher:
“The book’s multi-chapter study of sexuality and marriage is remarkably nuanced in its research into historical contexts, literary analysis, and study of Hebrew texts, addressing issues like transgender identity with particular sensitivity.” (Kirkus Reviews)
“Daring and thought-provoking” KC Finn, Author
“A fresh approach to the Scriptures” Philip Van Heusen, Author
“A platform for those feeling spiritually disconnected to reignite their faith. The book culminates in proposing love as the mechanism of spiritual fulfillment, shedding new light on faith and Christ’s universal salvation.” Asher Syed, Readers’ Favorite Review
“The most striking departure lies in his examination of homosexuality within the Christian context. Walton dissects the conventional understanding of Leviticus, suggesting the term “flesh” has multiple meanings that, when taken into account, might drastically alter our perception of the Bible’s stance on homosexuality.” Jamie Michele, Readers’ Favorite Review
Secret Covenant
What is the secret covenant? This is a secret so deeply hidden that mankind cannot see it unless God wants it to be known. The Bible tells us there is The Cipher (Revelation 2:17) to a locked scroll or teaching (Isaiah 6:9-11, 29:11-12, Matthew 13:13-17, Revelation 5:1, Revelation 10:4). The odd thing is, it takes a cipher of sorts to understand that it is telling you it needs a cipher. This is why the Pharisees were shocked that a blind person gained his sight. They said nothing like that had happened before. Well, maybe God wants things to be known again. At least, some of God’s secrets…
Topics
Topics include how Jesus saves us according to the Law, which leaves no room for some entrenched dogmatic interpretations. Interpretations targeted by this book revolve around the divisive nature of the Church. That nature is precisely the tool Jesus used to build up his Church, both inside and outside the Church building.
The Cipher breaks new ground on the interpretative layers within the Bible, which includes genetic, redemptive, social, and scientific meaning within the texts. It also expands on God’s code, which is used by each biblical author. This systematic code is more than just a language. It is a cadence and the complete fabric of the world around us. The authors use this code and without realizing its existence, we cannot properly understand what the Bible is telling us.
Arguments are focused on inclusion, but more than that. They also slaughter every sacred cow in search of Christ’s true Gospel of love.
Peace
Peace is the thing Jesus is known for. What we don’t realize is how that peace is obtained. It is the smoke and mirrors of the cut off world intermixed with the blind sheep. Jesus accomplishes peace through divisive speech so we will not turn to be healed. That is everyone. All sides of the Garden of Eden are kept safe from intrusion by the flaming sword.
That flaming sword is the Word of God. It is inpenatrable. John the Baptist said Jesus came to baptise with fire and Spirit. Jesus did just that. What that means is the apostasy must come before the second coming. If that is true, the Church has something wrong. Because of this, Jesus waits on the outside of the door until the self-righteous philosopher of the day is no longer the trusted source. The Apostle Paul warns us against the philosopher’s chains (Colossians 2:8). That curse of pride must be broken. The Cipher is focused on the ensuing clarity.
Reconciliation
The Cipher calls the warring sides to the table. Whether you have been cut off from the church or made a eunuch by God, as Jesus said, all people are accepted. Because of this, you no longer need to hide.
